Shear-wave velocities, Vs, have been defined in representative sites of Sellano by utilising FTAN and Hedgehog methods. Debris slide material and scaglia cinerea formation have been investigated. Variable thicknesses of debris slide cover have been recognized in the historical centre. The scaglia cinerea formation results to be a good rock with Vs velocities higher than 500 m/s at 10 mof depth, and the computed amplification functions for one-dimensional propagation of SH waves are significant only at the historical centre, because of the debris slide cover.
