Deformations of high rock slopes are often characterized by very low velocities so that sometimes they are recognized only because they interfere with pressure tunnels or penstocks. Two typical cases occurring in the Adda valley (Northern Italy) are discussed and the solutions adopted in order to maintain the plant in operation are presented.
