Sandy soils parameter identification by means of simulated annealing techniques

 

 

An application of different numerical techniques to inverse problems in geotechnics is presented in this work. Sandy soils are characterized with the hyperbolic model from the load phase of pressuremeter tests carried out in laboratory. The identification of the model parameters is developed with classical optimization and Simulated Annealing techniques. The results obtained with a direct search optimization method within a Simulated Annealing strategy are presented and compared with those obtained with classical techniques type Marquardt with explicit restrictions for the model parameters.
