A numerical investigation on the unilateral contact problem with friction

 

In this paper we develop a finite element analysis of the contact problem with friction of some onedimensional models, like beams and axisymmetric plates, unilaterally constrained against of an elastic halfspace, taking into account the shear deformation of these structures.

The investigation places emphasis on the influence of the more significative parameters, involved in the theory.
